This was as a result of an amendment to the Executive Regulations of the Foreign Residency Law introduced by ROP Decision No. 157/2020 which abolished the requirement for NOCs from 1 January 2021 as reported in one of our earlier articles.

The decision to cancel NOCs will be enforced from the start of next year (2021) with the aim of making the labour market more attractive and competitive, as well as correcting its conditions.
